Happy 4th of July!

In an earlier post I suggested doing some creative writing toward your intentions… whatever they may be.  Each day, in all that is you, you’re telling some story through your life’s adventures. You’re in creative control of your own collective thoughts so why not tell the very best story you can?

Lets do a dry run on a nice Christmas-time topic. Let’s tell a story about love, being loved, finding love, being discovered. Many are over working this topic during the season so let’s put a spin on a typical lack-based perspective that most people habitually carry when they want something they don’t have. Start by defining, easily, not too specifically, what it is that you do want. Good, now build a story around that.

Here is how one could start such an exercise…

Say it this way… I’m ready for the at special relationship experience that defines the ages. It matters not that it is not here surrounding me right now because I know it is being formed now, as I perceive it.  With this good start, now my story is a better one now that I was telling yesterday.

To continue: I’m never going to be afraid to be loved. I’ll check my limiting beliefs and reverse their negative consequences. I’ll be about the business about getting my  heart ready for that exceptionally wonderful experience to apprehend me fully! Doubtless love’s expression is looking for me in this very moment. It knows my name and what I’m about. It is in an active seeking mode. (will I be cooperative? )

Love is looking for you – it knows who you are and it knows the need you have to be special to someone. The contrast of [no love] may buffer your ability to receive.. that’s the story you were telling yesterday. Of course there’s other stuff in there too. Regardless, define the want and surround that with the very best “wouldn’t it be nice if” story that you’re imagination can faithfully support.

Know that love wants to discover who you really are and shower you with its healing. It’s what everyone is looking for and its discovery provides an unmatchable sense of well-being. The story you’ve told up till now supported a sense that love was estranged from your personal horizon, so now tell a different story. Cultivate it, imagine it, and feed the sentiment that makes you feel good about the possibilities.

Can this happen for you? Do you believe it’s possible?  Your part is to simply want, expect and support that expectation with your better thoughts and feelings. Law of Attraction author, Esther Hicks says that a belief is just a story we keep telling ourselves so to get a new belief, you’ve got to tell a different story. That’s what you’re doing now.

Tony Robbins says that whatever you believe is true. It is the essence of your individuality. So, if you begin to create a place for anything, what can possibly keep away what we expect to come? Render your sense of expectation. Do this deliberately, speak to the reality you imagine and create a space for it to be realized. Don’t tell it like it is, tell it the way you want it to be. Love is coming but only if you want to be loved. Get your heart ready for it, anticipate it eagerly, it will find you.

Another little exercise… as you go about the days activities, create space for that special whatever.  Say…you’re coming, that’s for sure. I may have passed you on the road to work this morning… maybe you drive past my exit every day!. In my experiences and activities, you are there most of the time: in my thoughts, consideration, feeling, in all the ways I can imagine you.  I don’t see you but you accompany me just the same because of how I hold the idea of you in my thoughts.

So the work begins… Is there anyone who eagerly anticipates you? You bet there is, just put your thoughts in the right path and next time we meet, you’ll be introducing the world to your special reality.

Lately, I’ve been a bit encumbered (busy) with a significant blessing that has come into my dynamic; the return of a lost business opportunity.

In my minds eye, I saw it approaching but couldn’t [hardly] believe it was possible, yet, it was a desire that was within me and something natural to my professional life. Circumstances and “all cooperative components” were assembled to bring this new thing into being. 

It was a surprise while at the same instance, a necessary development that manifested due the sheer power of my inner thoughts and unspoken wanting. 

How do these things happen?  Are they just happy accidents that impose themselves upon us while we’re not looking? Does God move our chess pieces around against our own preferences?

This post attempts to dissect the questions with some information I’ve gathered and my own application of that data.

I’ve posted two videos and quoted material that accompany this text. These are part of a long series of studies I’ve been engaged in over the past year and more specifically since September, when I had an accident that left me wheelchair bound for four plus months. 

All healed up now and on my way to the newness of these remarkable discoveries, I’ve come to believe [experientially] in the significance of the power of applied thoughts and their relationship to the quality of life.

The knowledge I’ve gained and the awareness of the present-tenseness of the power of my thoughts has caused a paradigm shift that has extended into all aspects of my life.   

So, on to some of the resources: Here’s a post from an online source called Notes from The Universe

 The slate’s been wiped clean, the past has released its grip, and before you sparkles eternity, yearning for direction. All that lies between you and the life of your dreams is just one teeny, tiny, gentle, little rule. Only one condition, prerequisite, principle that matters. 

It’s not love. It’s not God. It’s not fate, or luck, or karma. It’s not complicated or esoteric, and you needn’t sacrifice, plead, or pray to invoke it. It’s the only rule that’s ever existed, and it’s the only one that will ever exist. No reality can exist in its absence. For its mere existence, you are.  Your thoughts, and your thoughts alone, will set you in motion. Your thoughts will yield the inspiration, creativity, and determination you need. Your thoughts will orchestrate the magic and inspire the Universe. Your thoughts will carry you to the finish line if you just keep thinking them. Never give up. Never waiver, doubt, or ask.

 Aim high.

 That you’ve even received this Note, that you’re able to read it through, means you are so close. So extraordinarily close. The hardest work has been done. The wars have already been waged. The lessons have already been learned. The journey, now, is for home.

There’s so much more about all this to contemplate and to be discovered. It’s not so much a random distant set of “what if’s” as much as it is the arrival of a specific set of understandings at the right time in life. These things are available to all every day and they simply await our wanting to discover them.

In conclusion, unless you’re one who is completely satisfied with all aspects of your life, I’m recommending you consider these perspectives and do a little inquisitive exploration on your own. There are really no coincidences and serendipity abounds. If you’ve read this through, I submit that you are quite possibly at the edge of your very own set of brand new discoveries. Go for it! Serendipity abounds, there are no coincidences. It’s a phrase I often use in attempt to explain the abundance of goodness that exists among what people normally perceive as ordinary. Such was the remarkable life and the historical contributions of Martin Luther King Jr. The actual imprint he will have left on humanity will long survive the fading memory of the significance of his contributions.

Just as Martin Luther impacted the religious traditions of known world by triggering the protestant reformation with the tacking of his famous 95 Theses to the door of the Wittenberg church in 1517, MLK is singularly credited as being the progenitor of the modern civil rights movement in the United States. The parallels of significance between these two seemingly very different personalities and the depth of contribution to civilization cannot be understated, although a parallel is rarely, if ever drawn.  

Many people reference MLK based solely on the list of notable accomplishments such his great speeches, winning the Nobel Peace Prize, co-founding the SCLC as well as numerous world wide awards and recognitions. While focusing on a list of data points is worthwhile in terms of historical understanding and overall appreciation of Dr. King’s legacy, it’s my opinion that the single most important and unrecognized attribution to his life was his understanding about and the fearless outworking of the spiritual calling that was on his life. He was a man with a divine universal mission. Far beyond all that we can see or read about the man is his enduring impact on the evolving fragility of the human condition.

From his youth Martin L. King understood that his life’s purpose would be molded by and fashioned after the spiritual guidance and example of his preacher-teacher father, Martin King Sr. It’s no accident that MLK’s name was changed from Michael to Martin upon the inspiration of his father when the family traveled to Germany, learning of the importance of Martin Luther’s work in the evolution of the Catholic Church. Little did Martin Sr. know how uniquely parallel the paths of these two Martins would be in terms of historical significance.  

Martin Luther King JR. was doubtless an icon of change, set forth in this life and time, by sheer necessity of man’s progress in the face of the inhuman circumstances of slavery’s legacy and its negative impact on the black race in the United States. Any sensible and realistic look at pre civil rights America easily reveal the overwhelming necessity for permanent change that I believe was step two in the very evolution of civilized coexistence between blacks and whites. Even in the silent contemplation of the “every man”, all people recognized the disparity, the polarization, the separate-ness of segregation and the laws that sought to perpetuate the same.

Things needed to change, a man was needed to heed the call of the greater good and that call came through the acceptability and recognition of the religious covering of the Church. It’s my view that absolutely no man-made institution could have initiated the dramatic changes that racial segregation demanded. Non violence and civil disobedience was the key to humanizing the plight suffered by the victims of racial discrimination. Eventually, and at a high price, the message took root and forced the inner inspection of America and its walls of separation that perpetuated the discordance that existed between the races.

Martin’s was a high calling: an extraordinary task that enveloped his very imagination. His Inspirational (in-spirit) relationship to the largest civil tasking of our time was driven in part by his deep understanding gained by virtue of his early world travels and the impression made on his sense of purpose by the great spiritualists he encountered along his life’s way. Martin’s life represented the convergence of time, necessity, situation, circumstance, purpose, vision and determination, all toward a universal goal that maybe he himself didn’t fully understand as it was unfolding. Larger than Life were Martin’s divine objectives, yet he was limited to living it out as a common man, suffering the same frailties weaknesses as we all do. He, like us represented treasure in earthen vessels yet the largess of his dream was not minimized by his humanity.   

The culmination of his experiences, combined with the persistent inner calling for the necessity of real change compelled MLK to devote his undivided attention to the very substance of change. His life embodied the elements of progress with every word penned, with every speech delivered, with every march accomplished, with every sermon preached. King disseminated the gospel of his dream as a common thread that unified his every thought. Such was the power of agreement that it captivated the world. Yes, man lauded him with recognition but the real accomplishment was bridging the divinity principle of life’s purpose with the limitations of our human-ness… and we were privileged to see it in our generation.     

Martin Luther Kink Jr. so captivated the world’s consciousness regarding racial equality and what was yet to come that it temporarily distracted the worldview from what was so wrong toward the dream of what was possible. He was not bound in his thinking or his action by the harsh reality of what was. He told a different story, he imagined a different reality. He saw a different world. His dream was more than an idea about possibility; it was a foreknowledge of what he knew to be a coming reality and he lived it fully. Our task now is to simply continue to dream his dream for it is a unifying message that ensures a peaceful coexistence.

Great was his impact and far reaching was the substance of his life. History will doubtless long recall and eagerly point to the evidence of his material accomplishments. We can only hope that generations to come will also understand that his life was not about these “things”, rather it was about a man of purpose, appointed for a time such as this, who heeded the call from all that is, and bridged the horrific gap that temporarily existed between man’s inherent divinity and the inevitable transgressions of his humanity.

First, know that you are in the catbird seat, you’re the driver of your life. You determine 100% of your future experience. If not, then who is in constructive control of your life? All your power is now.

Go with this concept for a minute…now understand where you are currently: within the scope of the human condition exists a natural resistance to our own well-being. While that may sound a little skewed, an example will clarify. We say we want what’s best for us, our relationships, our family, job, avocations, etc.. but we are habitually predisposed to negativity and giving thought to the lowest part of human interaction, drama, fussing over things, gossip, arguments, misunderstandings, ego issues, pride, etc… What if it were entirely possible to reverse all of this? All your power is now.

These things conspire to form resistance to our own well-being because they form up who we are and what we are all about. The Video below will introduce you to concepts that can add a gentle shift, not a huge swing, in your ability to capture your own thoughts and re-direct them towards success.

What if… just by making a slight change to your thoughts, you could regain creative control of your own life experience?  Exchange living by default for living by your deliberate creativity.

Among all the very good video messages from Jerry & Esther Hicks, I recommend the following to you because I saw it as a comprehensive understanding that has the capacity to reach out and grab you at a personal point of life’s wondering. Why not consider this as a basis of personal progress for 2010? Resolutions as a concept are good, determined and self focused action is far better.

You’re not reading this post by accident so why not invest Eight more minutes in the possibility of this suggestion having some real meaning for you? Not just you, although you’re certainly a big enough personal project, but also for those who depend upon you to be the best [you] you can be. Did I say that all your power is now?

Lastly.. for those of you who understand the faith principle, your faith is good – it will carry you now as it has done in the past. It will keep you heart from an unfaithful surrender. You know that practicing faith takes some action and steadfastness. Why not trade your faith for a knowing?  You can absolutely own knowing whereas faith is a moving target, subject to things uncontrollable. Faith may wear thin. Rather than test faith as you compare your what is to what you want, consider [believing it to be so] already and living out that eventuality with expectation. Congratulations, you’ve just exchanged faith for knowing.

Too big of a thought? Start right where you are right now and simply reach for a better feeling thought. Gain that and progress forward and enhance it till you can imagine better, then develop that. Baby steps will quickly become leaps and you will have shifted your ability to consciously create your own new and improved reality. Who else is going to do this for you? Under what other circumstances will it happen?

Welcome 2010…new life comes… it need not be earthshaking; it may appear in simple pleasures and accomplishments that add up quickly. All any of us need are just a few simple adjustments. Don’t look for the big bangs of retrofit, take it easy. Don’t let it all become a psychological tangle – don’t over think it…. Enjoy it as it unfolds, it will become exactly what you are wanting.

Are your new thoughts worth the risk you’ll have to take to discover them? Without question you are the chooser of your experience…. you can just as easily maintain the as is and live by default. Would you prefer to try another set of thoughts?  Ok… then project the “as is” into the “will come”. Look at it five years ahead. What do you see? What you want is but a few well sifted thoughts ahead.

 What struck me in particular was the dynamic of the lyric, listed below, in which the very real relationship one has with his creator has the life giving opportunity to be lived out in the reality of the daily experience.

 Whether you believe in a universal God, Jesus, Buddha, Krishna, or any host of other gods or divine personalities, or whether your thing is just ”the Universe”… what is important is your ability to align well with something you can believe in and take hold of as you navigate this split second in eternity that we have to express ourselves here on earth.

In my own experience, I have embraced a life of faith since childhood. I later aligned with a ministry that touched the world as we understand influence and the “spreading of the gospel of the kingdom of God”. Over the past year, my personal 2009, I’ve cautiously embraced the concepts of “the Universe” and the Laws of Attraction.

 I’m finding, that is to say discovering again the undeniable tie ins and cross confirmations between the universality of being a 21^st century “Christian Inclusionist” and the relatively [new to me] concepts of LOA; although I have experienced their beneficial cause and effect for as long as I can recall or attribute conscious appreciation toward.

  So what’s your story? It’s time to get one. If life isn’t rendering the satisfactions and benefits that you know are possible, perhaps its time to start telling a different story about your life. Speak your own brand of life giving  value, discover your personal worth. Let go of some of the mental gymnastics that result in limiting beliefs and find something positive to embrace, to believe in.

 Make that investment in you – your loved ones are counting on it! Commit, or resolve in 2010 to live with a certain expectation of the miraculous inserting itself into your personal horizon. You’ve understood the concept of what it is to have faith… wouldn’t you prefer the certainty of knowing? Ask and it is given…  This takes us back to the Andre Crouch song, entitled, “Through it All”   

 I’ve inserted the lyric and the video below for your contemplation. While Andre approaches his knowing through the vision of his Christian experience, his is not even three degrees of separation that mirrors your own personal possibilities. I wouldn’t hazard to endorse [to you the reader] Andre’s approach but I do submit to you that his knowing is your knowing, regardless of the path, the vehicle, the belief, or the method of expression. I’d equally uplift any other demonstration of hope, belief, faith and well-being. It just so happens that my hearing of this expression coincided well with my new years writings.   

 The message here is simple, create within yourself a demand on life’s well-being, proclaim it verbally, write it in a notebook, discuss it but lightly (because its your own working out, not another’s) be willing to be discovered or apprehended by well-being and it will surely find you and contribute in plentiful measure according to your positive expectations. Appreciate everything as it is all designed to guide you to your greatness.

 When you do discover your path to your personal knowing, practice it with boldness and chronic expectation and I’ll check back with you in 2010

Everything for you (your power) is in your now. You create it with the quality of your thoughts. Quoting Marcus Aurelius, “The happiness of your life depends upon the quality of your thoughts: take care that you entertain no notions unsuitable to virtue and reasonable nature”

 
So, all is well and getting weller!
 
Thank you for you and for being interested enough in your own life to create it anew with great expectation daily. It may well be one of the few things that you have absolute control over. CO-create with God and watch the beauty unfold. You’ve gotta love the way that makes you feel.

 Highlights:

What do you want? Why do you want what you want? (If you’re new to this, try it on small, doable things and work your way up)

 Align with the desired result first. Envision the result, verbalize positive aspects about it.

See it as accomplished and get the feeling of that satisfaction. Think and feel more on this.

Develop the energy of feeling the result. Wealthy, passion, clarity, love, well-being, whatever.

 With alignment, you are now in tune, thought wise about your preferred outcome, you can “see it” Once aligned, you are inspired toward progress, at just the right time.

 Now envision yourself navigating the necessary path as you “walk” toward the good result that your thoughts have already pre-paved a path for. Once you think it through, Law of Attraction will add to those thoughts all sorts of confirming and positive, forward looking and progressive thoughts.

 Out of this new feeling, you’ll be inspired to the correct steps to take. Your action will seem natural and guided. But wait! stop and embellish the story, tell it even better, exactly as you prefer it to be realized.   

It is always a good time to tell a better story, Cement yourself into the better feeling place. Before you know it, you’ll never go back to telling bad stories or holding unproductive thoughts.

 When you develop this ability, the next time something bad comes, the feeling will not be one of fear or discomfort; rather you will have the confidence to feel just slight uneasiness, which you now can reverse easily.
